We are incredibly proud and honoured that our vegan and sustainable luxury handbag AMY – crafted from strawberries (#Berriestex) – was awarded the Green Product Award Fashion 2023 by the editorial jury.
“AMY is an excellent example of the level of quality and passion with which our nominees contribute to a more sustainable future.”

Since 2012, we have been working exclusively with some of the most innovative, vegan, ethical and sustainable materials in the world – and transforming them into handbags and accessories that are more than products: they are individual pieces of wearable art.
This has been reflected in our press coverage for years.
Our founder and head designer, Christine Rochlitz, first began working with cork. Cork looks and feels like genuine leather and can even be embossed with a snakeskin or crocodile texture.
But that was only the beginning.
Driven by her obsession with future materials – proudly calling herself a “material stalker” – Christine has continuously sourced and experimented with groundbreaking, ecological, vegan alternatives long before they became known in the fashion industry. Among them:
- - Sewable wood
- - Sewable slate stone
- - Made from Apples
- - Made from Pineapples
- - Made from Mushrooms
- - Made from Coconut
- - Made from Cactue
- - Made from Mango
- - Flexible ceramic elements that can even be cut with scissors
... and many more
We started using many of these materials at a time when hardly anyone in luxury fashion was even talking about them.
Today, they help define the future of high-end accessories – without animal suffering.
